The rising demand for electric cars and SUVs in India has led the auto industry to come up with new ideas and technology. The Indian government has been working hard to promote EVs, through various FAME subsidies. Keeping the trend and demand alive, Mahindra is going to launch a series of EVs in the coming years. Recently, the Mahindra XUV.e8 has been spied testing, e8 is expected to be an electric version of the Mahindra XUV700. In this article, we will let you know what you can expect from the soon-to-be-launched Mahindra XUV.e8.
The interior details of the Mahindra XUv.e8 have been leaked via spy shots and it claims to have a three-screen setup at the dashboard. One screen which is fixed behind the steering is for the drivers display, the second screen at the center is the regular infotainment system and the third screen is expected to show the vehicle details and other notifications. The car also gets a two-spoke steering, similar to the Nexon EV, and the logo on the steering is also expected to be an illuminated version. Some specifications like the automatic gear knobs and the drive selectors are the same as the Mahindra XUV700.
The Mahindra XUV.e8 has a fully revised bumper set. The front grille and the overall front designs can be noticed to have been revised. Some of the exterior design statements resemble the parent version of the car, that is the Mahindra XUV.e8.
The reports suggest that the car is expected to be launched in India with two battery trims. The larger battery will be an 80-kWh battery with a claimed range of 500 kilometers, on the other hand, the smaller battery trim will feature a 60-kWh battery which can be driven to 400 kilometers in a single charge.
The Mahindra XUV.e8 is expected to launch by the end of 2024.
