Art of Odisha: Pattachitra is a general term for traditional, cloth-based scroll painting popular in eastern India. Originating in Odisha, the art form is now found across much of eastern India, including West Bengal, Jharkhand, and parts of Bangladesh. The theme of the Pattachitra art form is usually based on Hindu mythology, and it is among the oldest art forms that are still in practice.
