Sony’s revolutionary new LinkBuds S are now to be seen as the new industry standard. We’ll just look at some of its specs and let you wonder about the rest. Weighing in at 4.8gms they are the world’s lightest and also the smallest as Sony developed a new compact driver to go with it by combining both its Bluetooth SoC and ANC processor in one single chip. Its compact size can only be seen as a sign of the refining process which is evident in its rich mid-range sound reproduction. Spatial Audio and ANC seem common nowadays but when it’s Sony they take on a whole new definition and when you mix in Sony’s Hi-Res Bluetooth codec – LDAC and its digital upscaler – DSEE Extreme – changing your usual compressed audio files into the way they are meant to be heard, there simply is no other way but to give them the title of the best.
