Office Yoga: Yoga is a great way to cure back pain, especially if you spend most of your day sitting at a desk. There are many simple poses, or ‘workasanas,’ that you can do right in your office. One of the most effective is the seated spinal twist, which involves sitting with your legs crossed and twisting your torso to one side while placing one hand on the opposite knee and the other hand behind you. Another great pose is the cat-cow stretch, which involves getting on all fours and alternately arching and rounding your back.
The downward-facing dog pose is also great for stretching out your spine and relieving tension in your lower back. Other workasanas include the eagle arm stretch, seated forward bend, and standing forward bend. Remember to take breaks throughout the day to stretch and move around, as this can help prevent back pain from occurring in the first place.
